How We Select Our Nannies

Finding the right nanny goes far beyond reviewing resumes. At Elite Nanny Society, we believe that selecting the right caregiver requires experience, intuition, and a deep understanding of what families truly need. With over 23 years of hands-on childcare experience, our founder Maria Sosa personally evaluates every nanny before introducing them to families. Our goal is simple: to ensure that every nanny we recommend is not only qualified, but also emotionally prepared to care for children with patience, responsibility, and genuine love.

In collaboration with a specialist in emotional intelligence, we incorporate additional evaluation methods to ensure each nanny is not only qualified, but emotionally prepared to support children and families.

Our Selection Process

  1. Application Review
Each nanny completes a detailed application so we can evaluate their childcare experience, work history, and areas of expertise.
  2. Reference Verification
We carefully review references from previous families and employers to confirm reliability, professionalism, and quality of care.
  3. Background Screening
All candidates must pass a comprehensive background check to ensure safety and trust.
  4. Personal Interview with Maria Sosa
Unlike many agencies, Maria personally meets each nanny to evaluate not only professional experience, but also personality, emotional maturity, and genuine passion for working with children.
  5. Emotional Readiness
Caring for children requires more than patience it requires emotional awareness and control. Our nannies are guided in practices that support emotional regulation, calm responses, and connection-based care. We prioritize caregivers who can remain composed under pressure, respond thoughtfully to children’s needs, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel understood and supported. In collaboration with a specialized professional, each nanny completes an emotional assessment questionnaire during our selection process. This allows us to better understand their emotional readiness and ability to support children with calm, awareness, and intention. We take these results seriously and prioritize candidates who demonstrate strong emotional stability, as we are committed to investing in caregivers who meet our standards.
  6. Family Compatibility
Our goal is not simply to place a nanny it is to create a long-term match between nanny and family.

Our Philosophy

At Elite Nanny Society, exceptional childcare requires more than qualifications.
It requires heart, patience, emotional intelligence, and a true love for children.

That is why we carefully select every nanny before introducing them to the families we serve
